"THE MARRIAGE OF FIGARO"
"These walls have eyes and ears;" complains Rosina in Beaumarchais' Barber of Seville.
In The Complete Singer's Le Nozze di Figaro, the walls really do have ears, as the servants tell the
story as much as their masters. This lively, fresh and human re-telling of Mozart's masterpiece was
premiered at Longborough Festival Opera in June to critical acclaim, and comes with a talented young
cast auditioned from the London music colleges. Fully costumed and staged, and sung in Italian with
English sur-titles, the cast and chorus are accompanied by internationally established musicians.
