The Pirani Horn Trio
ALEXANDRA REID violin
FRANCESCA MOORE-BRIDGER horn
TIMOTHY END piano
Programme to include works by Mozart, Smyth and Brahms
Founded in 2006 by three postgraduate students at the Royal Academy of Music, the Pirani Trio's aim was to explore the horn trio genre thoroughly, promoting the standard repertoire, but also encouraging new compositions, and uncovering rarely performed pieces. Among a number of awards, the Trio has won the Dennis Brain Prize, and has given recitals in London, Cambridge, Aylesbury and Bristol. In 2007 they were invited to perform the Berkeley Horn Trio for the British Horn Society's Dennis Brain Memorial Concert. As individuals they have performed with a wide range of orchestras and ensembles. They are also musicians in residence at the Festival des Arts de Parisot in France.
