After study at the National Conservatory of Athens, and private tuition with the Greek guitarist Alexios Froudarakis, in 2005 Dimitris won a scholarship to study at the Royal Academy of Music, and went on to win the Tebutt Exhibition Scholarship Prize. He has won many competitions and taken part in a number of masterclasses. He has played in workshops with John Williams and Sir Peter Maxwell Davies.
